Important AusAlert Test Information

AusAlert will be undergoing community and national testing on Monday, June 15 at 11 AM and Monday July 27 at 2 PM.
AusAlert is a new national telephone-based warning capability that delivers emergency and public safety messages to compatible mobile phones and other mobile devices within a specified area.
AusAlert will allow emergency service organisations (ESOs) to send targeted warnings with information pertaining to natural disasters, security threats, biosecurity incidents and health emergencies.
Extensive testing will be underway, here is what you need to know:
Devices may vibrate and play a siren-like warning sound for about 10 seconds.
An AusAlert message may appear on device screens. It will clearly say it is a test.
Exactly how it appears will depend on your device type and operating system.
