Standards of service
The Customer Service Charter outlines Council's commitment to provide quality service in accordance with the Community Strategic Plan. The Customer Service Charter provides a formal process for making complaints, outlines customers' rights and the standards customers can expect when dealing with Council.
Meander Valley Council takes great pride in welcoming new Australian citizens and conducts Citizenship Ceremonies on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs.
Conferees are required to pledge their allegiance to Australia and its laws, after which, they are presented with a Citizenship Certificate.
The Citizenship Ceremony is the final step in becoming an Australian Citizen. The ceremony can only be undertaken once approval has been granted from the Department of Home Affairs.
When approval has been granted, Council will contact you to arrange a time for the Citizenship Ceremony to be undertaken.
For eligibility requirements and to apply for citizenship, you will need to contact the Department of Home Affairs
For more information about arranging a Citizenship Ceremony, phone Council on 6393 5300
