New Planning Scheme for Meander Valley

The new Tasmanian Planning Scheme is now in operation!
The new Tasmanian Planning Scheme - Meander Valley has been approved and came into effect in the municipality on 19 April, 2021. This scheme replaces the Meander Valley Interim Planning Scheme 2013.
The intent of the Tasmanian Planning Scheme is to achieve as much consistency as possible in the planning rules that apply across the State. The scheme is made up of State Planning Components and a range of local provisions that are specific to Meander Valley.
From 19 April, 2021, all development applications will be assessed against the new scheme.
