Deloraine Waste Depot Transfer Station Works
Construction is kicking off at the Deloraine Waste Depot this February. We’re making improvements to create a smoother, safer and easier waste drop‑off experience.
FROM: Starting February 2026
DURATION An expected 7 month construction period
WHAT: A new waste transfer station that will improve safety and the way waste is managed on site.
WHAT'S CHANGING
1. Public access to the landfill tip face will end.
2. All waste will be placed into LBins.
3. LBins are large, ground-level waste containers designed to make unloading safer and easier.
WHAT'S STAYING THE SAME
1. Waste Depot opening hours and normal operations remain unchanged.
New layout of Deloraine Waste Depot waste experience.
The new design will remove the need for public access to the tip face.
New LBin design makes it easy and convenient to drop of your waste.
