Rolling Through Meander Valley – Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour

Road closure information pertaining to the Meander Valley for Sunday 23 February.


The Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour, one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious cycling events first raced in 1930, is set to bring some of the nation's top cyclists to our picturesque region.

This multi-stage race, running from February 21st to 23rd, 2025, will showcase Tasmania's diverse terrains, from sweeping plains to challenging climbs, offering both participants and spectators an exhilarating experience.

Road closure information pertaining to the Meander Valley for Sunday 23 February:

To keep things running smoothly, Tasmania Police will manage a rolling road closure, keeping delays to just 15–20 minutes as the race passes through. Vehicles will not be able to travel on or cross the route while the rolling road closure is in place.

The race start line will be on West Parade, Deloraine, between West Church and Emu Bay Road, from 8:30am - 3pm.

There will be an additional road closure on Highland Lakes Road from 11am - 11:45am and 3pm - 3:45pm.
