Barry Lee resigns from Councillor role
Posted on February 01, 2023
Barry Lee has decided to move on from his elected member position
Councillor Barry Lee announced his resignation yesterday, for personal reasons.
A long term resident of Meander Valley, Mr Lee is passionate about his local community and was elected for the first time in November last year.
“I would like to thank Barry for his contributions as a Councillor and for putting his hand up to represent his community. Being a Councillor is a rewarding role, but it is not without its challenges.
“Barry will be missed by both Councillors and Council staff and we all wish him well,” Mayor Wayne Johnston said.
Council will now liaise with the Electoral Commissioner to fill the vacancy.
