Michal Frydrych appointed as new Meander Valley Councillor
Posted on September 14, 2021
Michal Frydrych has today been sworn in as Meander Valley Council’s newest elected member.
Mr Frydrych was appointed on recount and will fill the casual vacancy created after the recent departure of Cr Frank Nott.
“We are pleased to welcome Michal to Council. He brings with him a wealth of experience across a range of sectors including primary production, business and tourism and we look forward to working with him,” Mayor Wayne Johnston said.
Cr Frydrych said he will be taking a proactive approach to his new role and has a particular interest in supporting Meander Valley as a visitor destination and providing support and facilities for families, older residents and sporting organisations.
Cr Frydrych is the current chairman of Rural Business Tasmania and has lived in Meander Valley for almost a decade.
“I have extensive experience managing larger projects and it is this knowledge and diversity that I will be bringing to Council to further inform discussions around the table,” Cr Frydrych said.
