Frank Nott to move on from Councillor role

Cr Frank Nott has tendered his resignation, effective 27 August.
Meander Valley Councillor, Frank Nott has tendered his resignation by letter effective from 27 August 2021.
For personal reasons, Frank will no longer being living in Meander Valley and is ineligible under the Local Government Act (1993) to remain a Councillor of Meander Valley.
Councillor Nott was elected to the Meander Valley Council in November 2018 and has been an active member of the Council, with particular interests in planning and traffic matters.
“I would like to thank Frank for his work and contributions as a Meander Valley Councillor over the last couple of years. We wish him well for the next chapter ahead,” Mayor Wayne Johnston said.
Council will now liaise with the Electoral Commissioner to have a casual vacancy declared and anticipates the vacancy will be filled by a recount from the last ordinary election.
