Growing Together in Harmony - Meander Valley Harmony Day 2025

On Friday, March 21, the warm spirit of Harmony Day filled the Australian Italian Club in Prospect Vale. More than 100 people from at least 20 different countries gathered to share music, food and culture—each bringing a little piece of home to the table.

Meander Valley has always been a place of generosity, where stories are swapped as easily as a homegrown tomato or a neighbourly smile. This Harmony Day was no different. Together with Welcome Cultural Services, Australian Red Cross - Tasmania Connected Women, and MAX Adult Migrant English Program, we created a space for people to connect, belong and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes our vibrant community thrive.

Moments like these remind us why Meander Valley is such a special place. It’s the joy of finding common ground, the kindness of a shared meal and the warmth of being welcomed in.
