This week is National Volunteer Week and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the locals who give their time and energy to help our community thrive.


From planting native trees to firing up the sausage sizzle, Meander Valley’s volunteers are the quiet champions behind so much of what makes life here rich and connected. They don’t ask for thanks, but we reckon they deserve plenty of it.

This week is National Volunteer Week and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the locals who give their time and energy to help our community thrive.

One way you can do that is by adding their stories to the National Volunteering Map — a growing collection of the people, groups and good work happening across the country.
