Creativity on display at Meander Valley Council’s LEGO Exhibition!
Posted on March 24, 2023
More than 80 exhibits will be on display at the Westbury Town Hall this weekend!
A colourful array of more than 80 LEGO creations, including a maxi-exhibit more than two meters long, will be on display over the weekend at the Meander Valley Council’s Building Together exhibition.
Mayor Wayne Johnston said Council was proud to support local children to display their hard work and creativity.
“Building Together is a wonderful opportunity for children across our municipality to share their creativity with our community,” Mayor Johnston said.
Council has worked with the Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts Inc. to enable students from local schools who were not chosen as finalists to exhibit at Brixhibition in Launceston, to have an opportunity to display their LEGO creations at the Westbury Town Hall.
“Building with LEGO supports student learning and allows children to develop their problem solving skills, improve their creativity and their wellbeing too,” Mayor Johnston said.
LEGO creations from students at Westbury Primary School, Bracknell Primary School, Our Lady of Mercy, Deloraine Primary School and the Home Schooling network will be displayed over two days for the community to enjoy.
The exhibition will be open from 10am-3pm Saturday 25 - Sunday 26 March at the Westbury Town Hall in Lyall Street. Entry is free.
