This year’s theme is the Meander Valley, a call to artists to delve deep into how their artwork relates to the Meander Valley. Whether you're a multimedia artist, a watercolorist, a sculptor, or someone who breathes life into textiles, glass, or wood, this is your chance to shine.

Categories & Prizes

Meander Valley Art Award – $5,000
Sponsored by Meander Valley Council.
A work in any medium that judges consider best relates to the Meander Valley.

Second Prize – $2,500
Sponsored by Bendigo Bank, Deloraine & Districts Community Bank.
A work in any medium that relates to the Meander Valley.

Third Prize – $1,000
Sponsored by Donna and Daryl Smith of Harcourts.
A work in any medium that relates to the Meander Valley.

People’s Choice Award – $500
Sponsored by Arts Deloraine.
A work that receives the most votes from viewing public at the conclusion of the exhibition.

Encouragement Award – $300
Sponsored by Western Tiers Distillery.
Awarded to an emerging artist (one who has not previously won an award) considered by the judges to show the most promise.

Artwork Delivery:Tuesday 21 October: 10 am – 1 pm
Awards Opening Night:Friday 24 October: 7 pm
Exhibition Dates:Saturday 25 October to Sunday 9 November: 10 am – 3 pm daily
Collection of Unsold Art:Sunday 9 November: 3 pm – 6 pm 
Monday 10 November: 10 am –1 pm

Esteemed judges faced the tough task of selecting standout entries that captured the essence of Meander Valley.
 
First Prize - Katherine Willmott-Jones for Wandering the GOG.
Second Prize - Cindy Watkins for Mossy Empress
Third Prize - Owen A. Bright for Valley of Secrets.
Highly Commended went to two artists
Margaret Coombes for Towards Evening.
Bruce Penn for Tormented Sky, Gads Hill, Liena.
The Encouragement Award - Joanne Malherbe for Soft Light, Quiet Presence.
Highly Commended - Meander Valley Emerging went to Artist Sandi Stenning for Meandering in the Valley
Popular Choice Award - Sandra Henderson for A Meander Moment
