Meander Valley Council continues to roll out grant funding and sponsorship opportunities for community groups, organisations, clubs and individuals.
Meander Valley Council continues to roll out grant funding and sponsorship opportunities for community groups, organisations, clubs and individuals.
“In addition to our four community grant rounds each year, Council is offering Recovery Event Sponsorship as part of our $1.7m Covid-19 Community and Business Support package,” Mayor Wayne Johnston said.
Over $36,000 in funding has been allocated to Recovery Event Sponsorship and the program caters for both small and large scale events.
“The program is designed to support not-for-profit community groups and business consortia to hold Covid-safe public events. These types of events will help re-build connections in our communities,” Mayor Johnston said.
Applications for Council’s Recovery Event Sponsorship program are open now and the latest round of Council’s Community Grants close 10 December 2020.
Mayor Johnston said Council understands that applying for a grant or sponsorship can be a daunting task for some.
“We have tried to make the process as streamlined as possible and I encourage anyone who is considering applying to give Council a call. Council officers are ready to help community members through the application process,” he said.
