Tour de Cure charity ride will be riding through the Meander Valley next Thursday.

Tour de Cure raises vital funds to support the researchers, surgeons and clinicians who dedicate their lives to finding a cure for cancer.

To date, Tour de Cure has raised more than $158 million, funded over 1,230 cancer research, support and prevention projects, and contributed to 231 cancer breakthroughs.
What does this mean for residents?

On Thursday, 19 March, pelotons of riders will travel east from Cradle Mountain, through Mole Creek to Deloraine, then along Meander Valley Road, passing Westbury and Carrick before continuing into Launceston.

Residents travelling along these roads between 6 am and 7 pm on Thursday, 19 March are asked to be patient and respectful as the ride passes through. Traffic management will be in place to ensure delays are kept to a minimum.
