Council hosts free workshop to help small business grow online!
Meander Valley Council has partnered with Digital Solutions Tasmania to offer a free digital marketing workshop to support the municipality’s small business sector. The free workshop will give attendees a fundamental understanding of the basics of establishing a solid digital presence.
Mayor Wayne Johnston said knowing where to start can be challenging with digital tools as new technologies emerge daily.
“This workshop is designed to provide small business owners with a solid foundation in the essential digital marketing tools you can't do without,” he said.
During the workshop, participants will learn about the most crucial tools including social media, email marketing, website and search engine optimisation.
“An experienced digital solutions mentor will guide participants through the basics of each of these tools so they can understand how they work and how they can be applied to a small business,” Mayor Johnston said.
Some of the most popular digital marketing platforms will be covered, including Google My Business, Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp.
By the end of the workshop, participants will know which tools and platforms to use to achieve their business goals and how to create a successful digital marketing strategy.
“With this knowledge, we hope local business owners will feel supported to attract more customers, increase engagement and grow,” Mayor Johnston said.
The free Digital Marketing for Small Business Workshop will be held on Thursday 25th May from 10am-12pm at the Empire Hotel in Deloraine. Tickets are available on Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/3nFOfDI
