Construction of a new 6-wicket block has been completed at the Westbury Recreation Ground

Westbury Shamrocks President Michael Claxton and Council’s Sport Facility Officer Patrick gear up for the new season.
A new wicket is ready for cricket season at the Westbury Recreation Ground. The new 6-wicket block was completed using funds from the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund, the Tasmanian State Government Communities Sport & Recreation Fund and contributions from Council.
“The new block is a great asset for the cricket community. This is the only turf pitch in Meander Valley and it will now be able to be in play for the next 15 - 20 years,” Sport Facility Officer Patrick Bessell said.
