What we've heard from you

As Westbury has expanded, the historic village centre has shifted away from its traditional focus solely on the crossroads at Lyall and William Streets. This transformation has left Meander Valley Road, between the Westbury Hotel and IGA, as a secondary community hub where vital businesses and amenities are somewhat disjointedly situated along a road primarily designed for traffic, lacking in greenery and cohesive connectivity.

Through engaging with your feedback, we've identified a significant opportunity and shared desire to bridge and unify these two hubs. Our aim is to not only preserve but also enhance Westbury's cherished village feel and streetscape, extending its charm and functionality to create an even more vibrant heart for our community.

By working together, we hope to transform Meander Valley Road, Westbury, into a thriving, pedestrian-friendly corridor that seamlessly integrates key businesses, recreational spaces, and greenery.
