Heritage listed properties are protected to ensure that future changes complement the significant aspects of a property. Development and conservation often works hand in hand, however it can be crucial to support the use and appreciation of Tasmania's wonderful heritage. This includes painting and the removal of trees.

Any proposed works on a heritage listed property must be discussed with the Tasmanian Heritage Council prior to undertaking any work or submitting an application to Council.
