Join us in commemorating the brave men and women who served our nation with unwavering courage and dedication. Meander Valley Council is proud to present a list of RSL and community-run 2024 ANZAC Day services across our region.

ANZAC Day stands as a poignant reminder of the valour and selflessness exhibited by those who served. It is a day etched in our collective memory, and, with reverence and gratitude, we gather to honour the brave men and women who answered the call of duty with unwavering courage.


Please join us as we pay tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and legacy of our ANZAC heroes.

All are welcome to attend these meaningful services, run by our local RSL branches and other community associations.

Below is a schedule of ANZAC Day services within the Meander Valley area on 25 April, 2024.

Lunch: Light refreshments, soup and sandwiches available for purchase after the service in the Mole Creek Hall.

Westbury – Dawn Service

Breakfast: Service will be followed by a Community Breakfast at the Westbury RSL, with thanks to the Rotary Club of Westbury – Funds raised will support RSL welfare programs.
Westbury – Main Service

Main Parade will assemble to march outside the Westbury Post Office in William Street at 10:40am.
Lunch: The service will be followed by a BBQ lunch at the Westbury RSL – Gold coin donation to support RSL welfare programs.

1pm: Two Up inside the RSL.

ANZAC Day Road Closure and Traffic Management

For the purpose of conducting ANZAC Day commemorations, under the provisions of the Local Government (highways) Act 1982, the following road closures will be in place:

Deloraine:

5:45am – 6:45am

Emu Bay Road: From Highland Lakes Road to middle roundabout.

West Parade: From Bonney Street to the bottom roundabout.

West Barrack Street: From Parsonage Street to Emu Bay Road.

10:30am – 12:30pm

Emu Bay Road: Between Parsonage Street and Highland Lakes Road.

West Parade: From Bonney Street to the bottom roundabout.

West Barrack Street: From Parsonage Street to Emu Bay Road.

During these times, access to Deloraine will be from the west entry only via the Bass Highway and Mole Creek Road.

Westbury:

5:45am – 6:30am and 10:30am – 12:00pm

Lyall Street: Between the Westbury Town Hall carpark and Lonsdale Promenade.

Lonsdale Promenade: Between Meander Valley Road and King Street.

Mole Creek:

10:50am – 12:00pm

Pioneer Drive: Traffic management will be in place affecting the westbound lane only.
