Each year, Council recognises those who have made outstanding contributions to the community through the presentation of Australia Day and Volunteer Awards. If you know an individual, organisation, event or volunteer program in Meander Valley that is making a difference and deserves to be recognised, consider nominating them for an award.
Australia Day Awards
As part of our Australia Day celebrations held in January each year, Council presents Meander Valley's Australia Day Awards. Nominations are accepted for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, the Meander Valley Sports Award and Event or Organisation of the Year.
Nominations for January 2023 have now closed. We will be calling for nominations again in mid-late 2023.
Volunteer Awards
This program recognises and acknowledges voluntary service to the Meander Valley Community by individuals. Nominations are accepted for:
1,000+ Hours Voluntary Service
3,000+ Hours Voluntary Service
Exceptional Voluntary Service
