Current Road Works and Closures
Highland Lakes Road, Deloraine
We will be spraying weeds on the Highland Lakes Road between the Deloraine township and Meander Road, Deloraine, from Thursday, 16 May 2024 to Friday, 24 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with frequent lane closures during our working hours, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Between Elizabeth Town and Deloraine
We will be doing some investigations between Bengeo Road, Elizabeth Town, and Emu Bay Road, Deloraine, from Monday, 20 May 2024 to Sunday, 26 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with some lane closures during our working hours, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Between Elizabeth Town and Sassafras
We will be trimming trees on the Bass Highway between Elizabeth Town and Sassafras until Friday, 31 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with some lane closures during our working hours, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Rural Areas of Meander Valley
Meander Valley Council's annual roadside shoulder spraying program will commence on Monday 20 May 2024. Spraying will occur approx. 1.2 metres wide from the edge of the road formation. The program may be undertaken in stages and will be completed by late June / early July 2024.
Roadside areas that are regularly maintained i.e. mowed, or property addresses that are registered on our No Spray Register, will not be sprayed.
If you are the owner of a property and wish to have your property added to our No Spray Register, please contact us on (03) 6393 5300. Please note, property addresses that have been previously registered are no required to register again.
Between Westbury Road and Pipeworks Road
The Tasmanian State Government will be maintaining the roadside on Meander Valley Road between Westbury Road and Pipeworks Road from Monday, 27 May 2024 to Friday, 31 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with frequent lane closures during our working hours, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Between Pipeworks Road and Bass Highway Interchange, Prospect
The Tasmanian State Government will be doing roadside maintenance on the Midland Highway between Pipeworks Road, South Launceston, and the Bass Highway interchange, Prospect, until Friday, 31 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with some lane closures during our working hours, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Between Prospect and Illawarra Road
The Tasmanian State Government will be repairing the road surface on the Bass Highway between Prospect and Illawarra Road, until Friday, 24 May 2024.
There will be a reduced speed limit with occasional lane closures during our working hours, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Between Elizabeth Town and Deloraine
The Tasmanian State Government will be doing investigations on the Bass Highway between Bengeo Road, Elizabeth Town, and Emu Bay Road, Deloraine from Monday, 20 May 2024 to Sunday, 26 May 2024.
