UPDATE - Recreational Water Quality Warning
Meander River (Egmont Reserve), Liffey River (Bracknell River Reserve) and South Esk River (Hadspen Lions Park) are considered suitable for swimming. Lake Trevallyn (Blackstone Park) is still unsuitable for swimming
Water quality testing results received by Council the week ending Friday 20 December 2024 show the following:
- Meander River (at Egmont Reserve, Birralee Road, Westbury) - This site is considered suitable for swimming.
- Liffey River (at Bracknell River Reserve, Louisa Street, Bracknell) - This site is considered suitable for swimming.
- South Esk River (at Hadspen Lions Park, Main Street, Hadspen) - This site is considered suitable for swimming.
- Lake Trevallyn (at Blackstone Park, Blackstone Park Drive, Blackstone Heights) - Bacteria levels are above Guideline limits. Swimming is not recommended at this site. Recreational water users entering the water during this time do so at their own risk.
As the water testing laboratory is closed over the Christmas/New Year period, the next round of water sampling will be conducted in early January 2025.
