Hadspen is a satellite suburb of Launceston, with easy access to the main road into Launceston.
Hadspen Caravan Park is a convenient place for visitors to begin their tour of the Great Western Tiers area, or use as a base for trips into Launceston.
A notable historic building in Hadspen is the Red Feather Inn, a sandstone building that was one of the first coaching inns in Tasmania. It was built in 1844 by John Sprunt. It is said to be haunted!
Entally House is a large country residence built in 1819 by Thomas Haycock Reiby, son of Thomas and Mary Reiby. The property contains a lovely house, spacious grounds, and numerous outbuildings, and is open to the public.
