Our Structure Plan will set forth a comprehensive vision for the future growth and development of Carrick. Through consultation and collaboration with residents, stakeholders and experts, we hope to craft a plan that reflects the unique character of Carrick, and the aspirations of its community, while addressing the challenges and opportunities of village living.
What is a Structure Plan?
A structure plan is a detailed strategy that outlines the long-term vision for the development and growth of a settlement and describes how use, development and infrastructure will be integrated in an orderly manner. It typically includes various elements like preferred zoning within the Planning Scheme, development fronts, land use patterns, provision of public open spaces, footpaths, streets, trails, and reticulated services.
