
The Meander Valley Planning Scheme is a legal document that sets out the long term development plans for the Meander Valley municipal area. The scheme also prescribes a zone for each property in the municipality and has a table of allowable uses for each zone.
Council is responsible for administering the scheme and employs professional town planning people to do this task.
If you are interested in downloading a copy of the scheme you may do so at the link above. A word of warning though! Do not rely upon your interpretation of the meaning of the scheme as it is a very complex document. Always contact us if you want to enquire about undertaking a development. Please note that we are unable to provide you access to the zoning maps because of the difficulty in viewing these on the web site.

Notice is hereby given that the Resource Planning and Development Commission pursuant to s.42 of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 has given final approval to the following amendment to the Meander Valley Planning Scheme 1995.
Amendment 1/2007
Text Amendment
Text amendments to the Rural Zone and other associated clauses in the Planning Scheme ordinance.
Map Amendment
Rezone land at Westbury from Rural Zone to Residential Low Density B Zone.
