Over the last four years the Meander Valley Council has been working towards the development of a new planning scheme. This work has involved the development of a Land Use Strategy, which was released in April 2005. A number of background papers have also been prepared, including the preparation of an Industrial Land Strategy.
The strategy was adopted by council in April 2005 after a public consultation period, and will guide the development of industrial activity in the Meander Valley over the life of the next planning scheme. In adopting the strategy Council have committed to reviewing the document and its directions each three years.
