By following this simple check-list you can help ensure your building application complies with our minimum acceptable standards and reduce the processing time for your application.

The First Step

Consult with our Planning Department on 6393 5320 to check if a planning permit is required.

The Second Step

Consult with our Building Department on 6393 5322 on your proposal to check if any other permit is required.

Application

When submitting your application you need to do the following;

Plan Check-list

1. GENERAL

  • 3 sets of drawings.
  • 3 sets of specifications.
  • Drawings must be clear and properly drawn and be on white paper in ink. (i.e. no tracing paper or pencil).
  • Scales:
    1:200 Minimum, Site plan
    1:100 Minimum, General plan, including floor

2. SITE PLAN

A site plan must show;

  • The dimensions of the proposed building, and its distance from side and/or front boundaries.
  • The current use of existing buildings.
  • Details of all easements positioned on the land.
  • Roofwater and drainage disposal details, including septic tank and trench locations if applicable.

3. VEHICULAR ACCESS

Indicate on the site plan any existing or proposed driveway access.

4. GENERAL PLAN

  • Elevations- All elevations to show detailed dimensions for floor to ceiling heights and existing ground level.
  • Sectional elevation- Including construction details and notes.
