Paying your Accounts

Please make sure you have your notice with you when making a payment.

If paying by Credit Card there is a Limit of $1,500.

The following methods of payment can be used

1. Pay by phone using Visa, MasterCard or Bankcard:- Call 1300 276 468 (24 hours) Biller Code : 474601
2. Mail your payment:- Cheques or Money Orders should be made payable to Meander Valley Council & posted to PO Box 102, Westbury, 7303
3. Pay over the Internet by clicking here.
4. Pay at any Australia Post Office throughout Australia
5. Pay at any Service Tasmania Shop between the hours of 8.30am & 4.30pm.
6. Pay at the Council Office at 26 Lyall Street, Westbury between the hours of 8.30am & 5pm.

Rates and Charges

Council's financial year commences on 1st July and ends on 30th June the following year.

Rate Notices are posted towards the end of July each year and are payable by 3 instalments on:

• 1 September 2008
• 1 December 2008
• 2 March 2009

Please note that reminder notices are not issued.

Late Payments

If rates or instalments are not paid on or before the due date a daily interest charge of 0.028767% (10.5% per annum) is payable until the outstanding amount is paid.

Water

Ratepayers will pay a Water Charge within their rates plus pay for all water used.

Water Meters will be read three times per year - June, October & February and accounts will also be sent three times per year.

These include accounts for Fire Hazard Clearing, Bio-cycle Maintenance etc.

Dog Re-registrations
