Planning Scheme

The Meander Valley Planning Scheme is a legal document that sets out the long term development plans for the Meander Valley municipal area. The scheme also prescribes a zone for each property in the municipality and has a table of allowable uses for each zone. Council is responsible for administering the scheme and employs professional town planning people to do this task.

If you are interested in downloading a copy of the scheme click on the provided link. Be wary of relying on your own interpretation of the meaning of the scheme as it is a complex document that requires specific expertise and training to interpret. Always contact us if you want to enquire about undertaking a development. Please note that we are unable to provide you access to the zoning maps because of the difficulty in viewing these on the web site, instead contact Council for any zoning enquiries.
