Emergency Management
Council plays an important role in assisting the community during and after an emergency situation. This role includes working with Emergency Services during the emergency and then the community during the recovery process.
Emergency Services are the lead agency and should be the first point of call during an emergency.

Council provides assistance during the recovery process that starts as soon as the Emergency commences. Council can be contacted on 0409 547 797 or 0418 507 113.
The Council manages its Emergency Management and Community Recovery support through the Municipal Emergency Management and Recovery Committee (MEMRC). The role of the committee is to undertake planning and training, prepare and develop resilience within the community, and work with other committees and organisations within the Northern Region.
