Specifications & Standards
All work carried out within the municipality must be undertaken in accordance with standard drawings and specifications based on engineering guidelines including Australian Standards. Meander Valley Council use the standard drawings and specifications developed by both Launceston City Council and the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resource (DIER). Use the links below to reference the appropriate documentation; generally DIER specifications will overrule those of Launceston City Council unless otherwise noted. If there is any confusion over which specification to use please contact Meander Valley Council's Infrastructure Services for clarification. It should be noted that these drawings are updated periodically and it is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure the latest versions are being used.
