Liffey Falls Walking Track - NOW OPEN

Access is NOW OPEN to the Liffey Falls Walking Track  via the upper car park and the lower camping area, with scheduled road and flood repairs now completed.

The new re-routed section of track is about 2.0km long and features a 12 metre span bridge at Quinns Creek as well as numerous small bridges, stone walls and walkways.  The re-routed track is at a higher elevation to avoid future flood impacts.

The new track follows the landscape's contours to minimise boardwalks and other structures, providing a more natural experience for the walk which is one of Tasmania's 60 Great Short Walks.

Legendary Tasmanian walking track John 'Snapper' Hughes and his team completed the track work, while the overall project was managed entirely by Parks & Wildlife staff.
