Now Open - Liffey Falls Walking Track
Liffey Falls Walking Track Now Open - as advised by Tasmanian Parks & Wildlife Service, dated 11 April 2017
The new re-routed section of track is about 2.0km long and features a 12 metre span bridge at Quinns Creek as well as numerous small bridges, stone walls and walkways. The re-routed track is at a higher elevation to avoid future flood impacts.
The new track follows the landscape's contours to minimise boardwalks and other structures, providing a more natural experience for the walk which is one of Tasmania's 60 Great Short Walks.
Legendary Tasmanian walking track John 'Snapper' Hughes and his team completed the track work, while the overall project was managed entirely by Parks & Wildlife staff.
Please note: Access to the upper car park and picnic facility from Riversdale Road will be closed early May to complete the required works. All access to the walking track and falls will be from the campground accessed off Bogan Road.
